The 8mm hand-carved carnelian rose Pater beads provide warm, sculptural contrast, their delicate petals recalling Mary’s ancient title, Rosa Mystica. Finished with a pure bronze center and crucifix.
Mary is called the "Mystical Rose" (Rosa Mystica) because, like a rose, she is considered the most beautiful flower of spiritual creation. The title also signifies that she is a "hidden" rose—a symbol of the purity, grace, and heavenly paradise she represents.The title has been utilized in Catholic prayers since ancient times and is officially invoked in the 1587 Litany of Loreto.

Chalcedony is a mineral group, specifically a fine-grained, microcrystalline form of silica made of tiny quartz and moganite crystals.
Carnelian is a brownish-red, orange, or red-orange semiprecious gemstone made from chalcedony quartz, colored by iron oxide.

Wood rosaries may require occasional conditioning with natural oils (mineral oil or olive oil). Rosaries are delicate by nature and should be handled gently.
